Introducing the new Tsunami 4.6.5 video server software, the all-in-one video surveillance solution. Building on an already impressive feature list, Tsunami 4.6.5 incorporates new and improved functions that will enable the security user to more easily survey and protect their investments.
What's New
Health Server: This free service will alert you whenever your DVR might need servicing. The health server can be configured to send you e-mail warnings if your DVR stops working, loses power, loses network connectivity, fails to record, loses a camera signal, reboots unnaturally, has a fan malfunction, or has a hard drive error, failure, or temperature problem.
E-Mail Notifications: This powerful new capability allows you to configure your DVR to contact you via e-mail when something suspicious or interesting happens. Email notifications with image attachments can be sent on motion detection, alarm input, signal loss, or network change.
Smart Record: This new record mode can help to significantly extend the record duration of your hard drive. The smart record capability reduces continuous record file sizes by varying the record frame rate based on motion detection or alarm input.
Quick Time Search: This new capability will make the process of reviewing recorded video much simpler and more convenient, by allowing you to instantly change the playback time by seconds, minutes, hours, days, or months as you simultaneously view recorded video.
External USB Hard Drive Support: Archiving months or years of video files has never been easier. Your DVR automatically detects when a drive is plugged in, synchronizes its recorded video files with the drive, and notifies you via e-mail when its time to add a new drive. Drives can be efficiently stored, or can be handed into the local authorities and played back using any Windows PC.
Network Record: This new capability allows cameras in another room, building, or city to behave as if they were locally attached to your DVR. Tempest DVRs can now connect over the Internet to cameras attached to other DVRs, and can view live video, record, playback, and configure each camera as if they were locally connected.
Point of Sale Daily Report: This feature is an invaluable tool for store managers that will allow them efficiently identify and track important business transactions from the last day or week. Store managers can configure their DVR to automatically generate daily reports of interesting Point of Sale transactions, events, or exceptions.
Watermarks: Now you can be more confident than ever that your video recordings will hold up in a court of law. An added layer of 128-bit MD5 encryption makes exported video clips even more tamper proof.
Improved Stability: This new version incorporates a variety of stability improvements that make Tempest DVRs more rock solid than ever. This includes, among other things, a new disk architecture that is more resistant to power loss.
