USB Archiver

The Tempest 1040 External USB Archiver is the ideal solution to inexpensively and effortlessly backup and store years of recorded video files. Available in 160GB, 250GB, and 400GB capacities, each Tempest 1040 module can store months of high quality video and audio. The Tempest 1040 is automatically detected when connected to a Tempest DVR's USB port, causing the DVR to immediately begin backing up newly recorded files. Once the drive has filled up, the DVR will send a notification via email or onscreen display. Replacing the drive is as simple as disconnecting the old drive and plugging in a new one. Tempest 1040 drives can be compactly stored to obtain infinite storage. Recorded files can be played back simply by connecting the Tempest 1040 to any Windows PC or to any Tempest DVR.
